Teatro de dança e Escola de Sãp Paulo

This is the picture of the new Teatre for the Compania de Dança de São Paulo.

It is a project by Herzog e De Meuron, the Swiss architects who designed the Tate Modern refurbishment, the Birds Nest (Olimpic statium in Pekin) among others.

My flat will have a previleged view of the Sala São Paulo, the classic music hall (see more below)

and the new teatre-school-museum

It is very exciting to see the old area being demolished and the new works starting, the reckon it will be ready in 2012 ish.

The company who does the reurbanization of the area (notoriously a drug hidden area) are the same who did the reurbanization of manchester City center and the lower Lee Valley in Hackney for the Olimpics, Therefore if it depends on the quality of the plans this will be a great world famous area ina few years.
